Our leadership
Under the leadership of Marc Princen, CEO, the Executive Team is responsible for overseeing the business operations of Mundipharma.
Dan Bell
Joined Mundipharma in 1990
Dan has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to his appointment as Senior Vice President, Quality he was Director of Quality, responsible for all quality functions in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East & Africa.
He has held a number of leadership roles at Mundipharma including Director of European Quality and Director of Quality for Napp Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for quality functions at the UK manufacturing site. Before joining Napp Pharmaceuticals, Dan was a Pharmaceutical Analyst at Ethical Pharmaceuticals.
He is a Chartered Chemist and a Qualified Person. He holds a master’s degree in Strategic Quality Management from the University of Portsmouth, UK and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the Anglia Ruskin University, UK.
Alfonso Camba
Joined Mundipharma in 2018
Prior to his appointment as Senior Vice President, Technical Operations, Alfonso was Global Director Programme Management Technical Operations. He has 40 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and stem cell therapy industries.
Alfonso joined Mundipharma from Laboratories LETI, where he was Director QRP Compliance. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President, Technical Operations at Stallergenes Greer. During his career he has held senior leadership roles in global companies including MSD, Sterling Winthrop, Serono, Filaxis and Tigenix-Takeda. For most of his professional career he has lived and worked internationally, including in the US, Argentina, continental Europe and the UK.
He holds an MBA from the IE Business School, Spain and an MBA from Boston College, US. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Universidad Complutense Madrid.
Lesley Ferguson White
Joined Mundipharma in 2020
Lesley joined Mundipharma from Syngenta Group, where she was Global Head of Communications for the Seeds business division. Lesley has over 20 years of experience in strategic communications and corporate affairs across a broad range of industries including agribusiness, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy and retail.
At Syngenta Group, she held a number of global communications leadership positions based in the US and Switzerland, including Head of Corporate Affairs for the Vegetable Seeds business unit and Head of Corporate Affairs for HR. Prior to Syngenta, Lesley was at GE Healthcare where most latterly she led communications for the international GE Healthcare IT business.
Lesley holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Birmingham, UK.
Yasemin Okur
Joined Mundipharma in 2016
Prior to her appointment as Senior Vice President, Consumer Health, Yasemin was Global Head of Commercial, Consumer Health. She has over 20 years of experience across multiple industries and has had leadership roles with some of the world’s most well-known consumer brands in Europe and in Asia.
She has held senior leadership role at Mundipharma including Head of Consumer Healthcare for Latin America, Asia Pacific and Middle East & Africa (LAM). She joined Mundipharma from IHG where she was Regional Director for Branding & Strategy for Asia, Middle East & Africa. Prior to this, she held management roles at Yum! Brands, Danone, and SC Johnson.
She holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Boğaziçi University, Turkey.
Brian Sheehan Ph.D.
Joined Mundipharma in 2015
Prior to his appointment as Chief Scientific Officer in 2020, Brian held senior leadership roles at Mundipharma including Senior Vice President Innovation and Executive Director of R&D responsible for global oncology drug development and the Asia-Pacific Research & Development portfolio. He has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry at companies including Schering-Plough and Merck with a track record of new product development and approvals in oncology and infectious diseases.
Before joining Mundipharma, he was Head of Project & Portfolio Management and a member of the leadership team at the Cancer Research UK Centre for Drug Development. Brian spent nine years at Merck Animal Health, most latterly as Head of R&D for Singapore. He began his academic career as a postdoctoral scientist at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, before holding positions at Trinity College Dublin and Imperial College London.
Brian holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from the National University of Ireland.
